amsterdam

Amsterdam oh Amsterdam.

I think my heart has found a place it wants to stay for good. Inspiring on so many levels, I would do anything to be transported back there again.

I love how the city is so diverse and multilingual, not the slightest difference to Berlin in that context. What made Amsterdam different for me is the way the locals welcome each and everyone with pure genuinity (is that a word?) even with the influx of tourists on every corner of the city. The tiny assurance knowing that I won't find myself lost on the streets made me feel at ease throughout my stay.

Adding the fact that everything is within reach around the 'ring' makes travelling around super convenient. Found myself going back to the American Book Center almost everyday.

We also took a bus to a small town called Volendam where we dressed up in traditional Dutch costumes and ate our weight in fresh Herring and Dutch pancakes, and saw cows like we have never seen before.

This post probably does not make sense at all. Being there felt surreal. Total madness in the most pleasant way.
